As always, I like to start out by wearing my big 10-gallon publisher's hat and giving everyone a quick overview of what's happened since last month's chat.

Last month, after paying quarterly royalties (yay!) we finalized and issued our first Pre-Release Publicity and Marketing Plan -- Thank you, Dr. Michael Davis, Director of Publicity and Marketing for your months of work developing, organizing and beta-testing it -- our unique approach to garnering author name and work title recognition as well as establishing a critical mass of interested readers/listeners/viewers for a work as it undergoes editing, polishing and proofing on its way to release. One important tool is this chat.

We are now working on updating our Post-Release Publicity and Marketing Guide to further maximize the impact of everything staff and authors do to "get the word out."

Right now, Savant is looking specifically for war memoirs, and Aignos for screenplay novels of every genre. In addition we're searching for several of the best manga artists in the world to work with us on a new Aignos thrust.

It's a busy time as we enter the 2017 holiday season, beginning with Halloween, then Thanksgiving and finally Christmas and New Years. This is the time of year to give everyone on your favored list a Savant or Aignos book, CD or DVD. Nothing says "class" like a softcover book, CD or DVD.  Happy "traveling into the holidays to everyone."

Brandishing, then doffing my 10-gallon publisher's hat for a 5-gallon editor's hat, I'm pleased to announce that Helen R. Davis' second in the Cleopatra series CLEOPATRA VICTORIOUS (Savant, in preparation) is going excellently. I love editing, and this work, the sequel to her first Cleopatra book, CLEOPATRA UNCONQUERED (Savant 2015) is hard to edit because I keep wanting to just read and enjoy it. I'm hopeful that Helen will join our chat today and tell us more about her outstanding second Cleopatra novel!

SPECIAL NOT TO CHATTERS: Be sure to refresh your browser (usually amounts to clicking on the little "arrow-chasing-its-tail" icon at the top of your browser) every couple minutes so you can see the latest posts!

Things are going well here in Texas. We are steadily working on the editing of ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK. At the same time I have been reading Helen Davis' CLEOPATRA UNCONQUERED and really enjoying it. She has a great command of the time period and the story is very engaging. I'm looking forward to the second book in her series, CLEOPATRA VICTORIOUS.

I'm a little short of time today but wanted to stop in for an hour or so. I've been busy getting ready to move in the next few days, so its a busy weekend.

So now it's off with the 5-gallon editors hand and on with my white woven Panama author's hat. Yep, that's my local trademark. It gets me a lot of "hello's" and opportunities to talk about my latest works. You can check it out at

http://garymartine.yolasite.com/author-blog.php

my author's blog for Raymond Gaynor and Gary Martine, two of my several pen names. As Raymond Gaynor, I had the pleasure of co-authoring QUANTUM DEATH (Savant 2017) with A. G. Hayes, the fifth I believe in his famous Koski and Falk secret agent series. Want a read that's steeped in technological thrills, replete with cyberattacks, selling off the United States to the highest bidder using bitcoins, and of course, the mysterious quantum death machine? This is it -- perhaps one of the most dangerous missions Koski and Falk have ever undertaken.

I wanted to thank Michael Davis for the great pre-release marketing plan. I feel I have come on-board with Savant Books and Publications at an exciting time and will get to use this new plan in preparation to release ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK.

Tell us a bit about ONE NIGHT IN BANKOK (Savant in preparation) -- just enough to tease. What other works have you written, Keith? Do you have an author website?

Hello, Dan.  I am still getting used to posting on the chat.  My editor and I have just finished another round of polishing edits and looking forward to the publication of my book, "Illegal."
