Sounds like you're an old soul, Helen. Yeah, love the south. One never tires of the Spanish moss or the beaches here, for sure. I'm originally from Maryland. Spent some time in Iowa and Minnesota. Have been here over a decade now.

Def a good niche' for impersonators in the voice acting business. There's a niche for everything, though, isn't there? Lol. Trick is finding how to make a living at it[wink]

Octo, or rather, my father, has gone back to his Amway seminar.  Amway has been a huge blessing on our lives. I find the people there always very positive and uplifting.

As for politics, I prefer to not speak my opinion on those things publicly. I have my opinions, of course, but I'd prefer to not share those with others at this stage in my career.  I would much rather focus on the good things going on in my life.

Here's a preview for Cleopatra X, the heroine of CLEOPATRA MAGNIFICA and CLEOPATRA TRIUMPHANT. you think Octo  is bad? Well, wait till you meet Pollio!  Pollio will have you longing for the days of Octavian!

Natalie, I would love to talk with you more. It seems you and I were meant to find each other.

As for impersonating, my mother says my best Scarlett scene is the 'like a spider' when Mammy is warning her to stay away from Mister Ashley Wilkes.

THE TURTLE DANCES by Daniel S. Janik- Excerpt #2 (Family Rated)

Chapter 3 - Home

"Isla was a natural surfer, having not just one, but two permanent surfboards—one above and another below her body. The top board was a shiny green and brown that, from above, made her look like an ocean rock, hiding her from the preying eyes of ravenous seabirds and killer whales. Her lower board, viewed from below, was a creamy sunshine white. Against a bright ocean sky, it made her near-invisible to any sharks or killer whales swimming below... Suddenly she felt the water surge beneath her, and settled inside the crest of the wave, steadying herself using her four flippers and tail for balance and position. Riding the wave, she lifted her head out of the water and smiled with pride."

What are the reviewer’s and book festivals saying?

ANIMALS, ANIMALS, ANIMALS BOOK FESTIVAL AWARD

 ——————————————

Mulit-award-winning author and USA Dancesport Competitor Daniel S. Janik is a former resident of Alaska currently residing in Honolulu, Hawaii, with his wife and competition dance partner, Setsuko Tsuchiya. Together they welcome the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles to Hawaii throughout the year.

"I've long been fascinated by children's reactions to sea turtles—they seem to instinctively identify with them, viewing them without fear, even wading in and swimming bravely alongside them...This book came to me imagining what a sea turtle might think of the fearless, curious, shell-less, upright land-dwellers wading among them. Mightn't a particularly observant and fanciful turtle take things a step further if she clambered onto a beach and happened to see two humans dancing?" says Dan. "Naturalists at heart, the illustrator and I endeavored to keep the appearance and life history of our heroine, Isla, and her turtle-friend, Surf, reasonably true to life."

Raymond, my dream role is my own triumphant Cleopatra.  I would also like to bring to life Eleanor of Aquitaine, a medieval queen whose life even puts Cleopatra to shame. This woman should have a full feature movie made about her life. She was queen of both France and England, married to two very different men, went on CRUSADE, and, while her son, Richard the Lion Hearted was on crusade, was regent of that country for much of his time. At the age of eighty, she rode to Spain to arrange a marriage for one of her French relatives. Not knocking Cleo, but Eleanor of Aquitaine rocks.    I want to play her and Cleo. I also have a woman I want to do for what Madonna did for Eva Peron-- but that is my secret. I can't lay all my cards out at once, you know.

I've always felt that writing poetry, prose and screen writing are simply slightly different facets of the same literary diamond. While I'm not one for formal acting (though I love to costume out on holidays like upcoming Halloween), I've had the opportunity to produce some videos, the most "famous" of which is CLEAN WATER, COMMON GROUND (National Film Network 1999) available from Savant Books and Publications at

https://mkt.com/savant-books-and-publications/item/clean-water-common-ground-dvd

and from the National Film Network at

https://www.nationalfilmnetwork.com/Store/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=511

I was more than pleasantly surprised when it won two Telly Awards for best documentary!

sure.  Meeting you has been an encouragement on the acting dreams. I had to let go of a lot of negative nellies this year.

Natalie, you have my email, correct?

QUANTUM DEATH by A. G. Hayes with Raymond Gaynor - Excerpt #1 (This Excerpt is Family Rated):

"Susan Koski eased out of bed without making a sound. Joseph Falk never moved, the top of his head showing from beneath the covers assured her he was fast asleep. Slowly she crept to the bedroom door, turned the knob...and the bedside phone rang.

Koski immediately recognized the voice of their boss, Tom Stewart, head of Cerberus, America's ultra-secret "off the board" information and action agency.

"[Both of ] you on the line,?" Stewart asked, continuing a moment later, "Good. Now...listen up."

There was a soft click and the tone on the line changed. Both Koski and Falk knew what was coming was top secret. "We have a problem."

Koski looked across the bed, raised her eyebrows and mouthed the words...Happy Birthday."

Koski and Falk come up against what very well may prove to be their most complex and dangerous case yet: The Quantum Death Machine. For the first time, Koski and Falk must separate during a mission. Each faces mortal peril, while, at the same time, their smoldering relationship begins to heat up. The fifth in the riveting Koski and Falk Series by multi-award-winning author A. G. Hayes with Raymond Gaynor, author of TOTAL MELTDOWN (Borgo/Wildside)

Missed ya , Raymond! Sorry 'bout that. I am an actor for a living. I enjoy the act of creation in any form (and don't really get a choice when I have to pay the bills this way), so I can't say I have a favorite type of character. Hmmmm, I'm a quite naturally cheerful person, so I find I'm drawn to darker subjects, I guess?  I'm really happy working on most things, though. What's your background?

I actually fit my author bio: "Raymond Gaynor is the pen-name of a multi-award-winning, reclusive writer-artist-photographer-videographer, who, in his own words, "lives and breathes" San Francisco." Author-wise, I've written numerous fiction and nonfiction works under a variety of other pseudonyms. Makes me feel a bit schizophrenic sometimes keeping the different pen-name personalities separate. While I'm living in Hawaii these days, my heart will always be in San Francisco.

I'm very excited that my first novel, In the Shadows of My Mind, is in final preparation. It's a book about a man with multiple personalities, a missing person in a small southern town, and the ways that groups of people come together and fall apart.

An excerpt:

I remember the first time I saw sunlight. I had been conceived in Stephen's consciousness on the night that Stephen hit Matt, on the night of the car crash, but I was not born until some years later. It was approaching night and the setting sun washed over the warehouse with a silver twilight. I opened my eyes and saw those beams of silver falling through the dirty windows.

It was a very violent birth. For a few moments I was both myself and Stephen simultaneously, my consciousness attempting to rip itself from his forcibly, the material binding us together reluctant to snap. My head hurt and when I put my fingers to my temple it hurt worse, and when I looked, my fingertips were stained red. I thought to myself, I'm still alive. Natalie would be mad that I had put myself in this position, but at least I was still alive.

Then I thought, who's Natalie? What's going on?

That's when the dissonance started with my thoughts. Suddenly, I was in two places at the same time: I was in a field, what I felt to be paradise, with long grass rising like great oaks above my head, and that silver radiance hypnotizing me; I was also in a warehouse, and I had just been grazed by a bullet from the pistol of a man named Stringfield. I was two people: I was Stephen Lanford, a young profiler brashly pursuing a dangerous man through the warehouse where he had destroyed at least five lives, five beautiful examples of life; I was also a man without a name, seeing sunlight for the first time as bullets pounded into the metal sheet that separated me from that monster. I heard the bullets spitting and the casings clinking as they failed to break through that metal sheet; I heard a river bubbling and spitting as it flowed along rocky, porous stones. Blood poured from my–from our–ear.

Raymond's being his usual modest self. The man is an outstanding artist, an excellent painter with many public showings in San Francisco and abroad to his credit, a photographer with an interest in 3-dimensional/holographic photography, and a videographer par excellence.
